I was born in 1983, always an active and outgoing thrill seeker. I became involved with motorsports in my early 20’s and a sponsored motocross racer by my mid 20’s. I’m an outdoorsman who loves that nomadic backcountry lifestyle. I worked in construction as a truck driver hauling heavy equipment and materials, and in college I began a career in Geographic Information Systems for a government agency, continued on into management from there.
In 2012 I was involved in a horrific accident that left me with spinal injuries, a TBI with optic nerve damage, several broken bones and the eventual amputation of both arms, below the elbow. This would forever change the course of my life.
I’ve returned to the thrill-seeking lifestyle I’ve always loved with sports, skiing/snowboarding and motorsports. I also enjoy the outdoors, hiking, camping, off-roading, carpentry, gardening, fabricating and other productive hobbies. I’ve found enjoyment in challenging myself with tasks hoping to find easier ways, adapting, designing and fabricating devices that benefit myself and others. I just try to make the most out of life now and not take things for granted, surviving life changing trauma is a very sobering experience reminding us just how fragile life can be, and how quickly it can change.
I’m married to my soul mate, we share a beautiful home together with a dog and a cat. I now have an amazing career with a law enforcement/criminal justice agency in database management and collaboration among local, state and federal agencies. I’ve been truly blessed with this second chance at life and hope to be a positive influence for anyone struggling to see past their trauma.
